It is so painful to accept that you are no longer here. You were more than a classmate—you were a brother, a friend, and someone who made our school days brighter.
I will always remember the laughter we shared, the conversations we had, and the many little moments that once seemed ordinary but now mean so much. I never imagined that one day I would have to write a tribute to you instead of seeing you sitting beside us.
Your absence hurts deeply, and you will be greatly missed. Though you are gone, the memories of you will remain with us and live on in our hearts.
Rest peacefully, my dear brother and classmate. Thank you for the memories. You will never be forgotten. 🕊️❤️
Even now, I find it difficult to accept that you are truly gone. The news of your passing remains almost unbelievable.
To say that I am saddened by your demise would be an understatement. The loss is profound, and the void you have left behind is immeasurable.
Uncle K, as you were fondly called, was the very embodiment of humility. You were a genuine and dependable friend, always ready to lend a helping hand and support those around you with all that you had to offer.
Your kindness, generosity, and selflessness touched many lives.
You were an exceptional husband, a devoted father, a caring brother, a loving son, and a treasured friend.
Above all, you were a wonderful husband to my dear friend and sister, whose life you enriched with your love, care, and unwavering support.
I vividly remember having the privilege of standing beside my sister as her Chief Bridesmaid on your wedding day. It was a beautiful occasion filled with joy, laughter, hope, and precious memories that will forever be cherished.
Like many others, I had hoped that we would all grow old together, sharing life's journey through its many seasons. Sadly, you have taken your final bow far too soon. Though this was not the plan we envisioned, we take solace in the knowledge that God, in His infinite wisdom, knows best.
As difficult as it is to come to terms with this heartbreaking loss, I submit to the will of Almighty God and pray that your gentle and beautiful soul finds eternal rest and peace.
If only I had known that the day I saw you at the Lagos airport would be the last time our paths would cross, I would have held on to that moment a little longer. I would have cherished it even more deeply.
Today, I am left with treasured memories of your hearty laughter, your kind words, your warm sense of humour, and your remarkable selflessness. These memories will remain with me always and continue to bring comfort in moments of grief.
Rest on, my dear friend. Your legacy of kindness, humility, and love will never be forgotten.
You will be profoundly missed.
May your soul rest in perfect peace.

It is difficult to find the right words to express the pain in my heart since you left us. Losing you to the cold hand of death is a sorrow I never imagined I would have to bear.
You were more than a friend to me—you were a brother, a confidant, and a beautiful part of my journey through life. Your kindness, laughter, wisdom, and the memories we shared will forever remain precious to me.
Though your time with us was not as long as we wished, you left footprints that death cannot erase. You touched lives in ways you may never have fully realized, and those who knew you will continue to carry your memory in their hearts.
I will miss your presence, your smile, your words, and the moments we shared. There will always be an empty space where you once stood, but I am grateful for the privilege of having known you and called you my friend.
Death may have taken you from our sight, but it can never take away the memories you gave us. You will live on in our hearts, in our stories, and in the lives you touched.
Rest peacefully, my dear friend. Until we meet again,
may your gentle soul find eternal rest.
You may be gone from this world, but you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, my dear friend. CSP OKIM

Our paths crossed and you left footprints on our hearts that time can never erase. You were one of those rare people—a true friend whose kindness, laughter and presence made life brighter. You, out of your demanding schedules, find time to rally around friends through the sunshines and the rainfall, through the smiles and the frowns.
I've tried to call you several times to hear you say "OJAY" as you fondly me called so, I could respond with "ADAKOLE" but your number is no longer reachable.
I will personally hold dear to my heart the memories we shared: the conversations, the laughter, the visits and the simple moments that became precious because you were there.
Your friendship was a gift and I am grateful to have known you.

From day one in school, you were the one who gathered us, checked on us, settled our fights, and made sure no one was left behind.
You carried the ADC uniform with the same care you carried us.
Loyal to your principal, loyal to your friends.
The group will never be the same without you.
Rest well, our leader. We’ll keep the flock together in your honor.
Kizito
You were more than a classmate. You were our compass.
The one who said "let's go together", "are you okay", "don’t worry I got us".
Even as ADC to the Deputy Governor, you never forgot us.
Goodbye, shepherd. Thank you for leading us.
Rest in peace, bro.
Adakole Egede
Kizito, you taught us what brotherhood meant.
You led not with noise, but with care.
From school benches to state house duties, you served with the same heart.
Benue lost an officer. We lost our anchor.
Sleep well, shepherd. We promise to look out for each other — just like you taught us.
Our shepherd *Kizito Adakole Egede* is gone.
He was the reason this group stayed united all these years.
From sharing notes, to sharing problems, to sharing joy — Kizito was there.
Farewell my gallant colleague
From Emilis koko as you fondly call me.
You always called me “Smally.” Then I became “Small Madam.” And somehow, no matter how many years passed or how much I grew, I remained that little girl in your eyes.
Now I am sitting here trying to write a farewell to you, and my heart keeps rejecting the reality that you are gone.
Kiz, you were not just an old schoolmate. You were my guardian angel.
You looked out for me in school in your own special way. You were a natural leader who never needed a title to make an impact. You were a planner, an organiser, a great communicator, a helper and, most importantly, someone with a genuine heart for people.
But Kiz, it is your smile that keeps breaking me.
That smiling face keeps coming back to me, and I find myself asking, “Kiz, how can you really be gone?” 😭
You never came to Lagos without looking for your Small Madam. You would call, check on me and buy me drinks. At the time, they seemed like ordinary little gestures. Today, I would give anything to have just one more of those moments.
I wish I could hear you say “Small Madam” one more time.
I wish I could see that smile again.
I wish I had known that one day these little memories would become the things I would hold on to.
Thank you for being my guardian angel, Kiz. Thank you for always looking out for your Small Madam.
I will miss you more than words can ever explain.
But as Christians, we do not grieve without hope. I hold on to the promise that death is not the end, and that those who die in Christ will rise again.
“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.” — Revelation 14:13.
So, my dear Kiz, sleep on in the peace of Christ.
May the Lord receive your soul, forgive your shortcomings and grant you eternal rest. May His perpetual light shine upon you, and may you rest in perfect peace. Amen. 🕊️✝️
And when that glorious day comes, when we meet again in the presence of our Lord, I hope the first thing I hear is that familiar voice:
“Small Madam…” 😭❤️
Until then, rest well, my Kizito.
Goodnight, my dear friend. Until we meet again at the feet of Jesus. 🕊️✝️

And through the many stories I have heard, I have come to understand just how much of an impact you had on the lives of those around you. Every story Anya has shared has always spoken of your love, your sacrifices, your patience, and the many ways you guided and supported him. It is evident that you were not just a brother-in-law, but a brother, a mentor, and someone who played such a meaningful role in his life.
The love you had for your family was truly second to none. Your presence, your kindness, your sacrifices, and the memories you created with the people you loved will live on for generations. Oh, what a man you were. ❤️
Rest well, Uncle K, knowing that you were deeply loved, and that love continues even in death. If money could buy life, you would still be here today. We would have given everything within our power to keep you with us, but sometimes, there are things beyond our understanding and control. We can only trust that God knows best.
Your life touched so many people, and your memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
Rest peacefully, Uncle K. 🕊️
But here we are…and it is well.
I will always remember you for your kindness and family centered nature. Always welcoming. Always Smiling. No matter what, you always smiled.
Rest on, Uncle…I miss you & you'll forever be remembered in my heart 💜🙏🏾🤲🏾
Though your departure has left a painful void in our hearts, the beautiful memories you created and the values you instilled will forever remain with us. Your physical presence may be gone, but your legacy lives on in the lives you touched, the lessons you taught, and the love you shared.
Uncle kay, if there is one thing I have learned from your life, it is that true greatness is not measured by wealth, position, or possessions, but by the lives we influence, the love we give, and the good we leave behind. By this measure, you were truly a great man.
We love you but God loves you more, continue resting with the most high
From the first I met you, all you everly do is showing kindness and respect.
A gentle man you were
With submission to the will of God.
Rest in peace my "Sister and friend's husband" as I usually call you.

HUSBAND OF MY YOUTH
Honey, I didn’t want to write anything at first because those who truly know us already understand. But for the sake of those who don’t know our story, let’s tell them.
We met as teenagers in 1989 and stayed close, loyal friends — without any intimacy — until we married in 2003. From the very beginning, our marriage wasn’t given a chance. People said we wouldn’t last, that we’d go our separate ways within a few years. You resisted every form of negative influence from all quarters, and together we proved them wrong.
Our love stood the test of time — through every season, every challenge, every distance — until death truly did us part.
Distance never weakened us. People’s opinions never defined us. What we shared was deeper than words: it was covenant, friendship, and grace.
God has been gracious and kind.
From the pages of our hearts, let our worship rise and never end.
And our love? It lives on!
Your Precious as you fondly call me!

My able and gallant officer, personal person and a true gentleman!
Writing this today is incredibly difficult, but it is a privilege to honor you my able and gallant officer – Uncle K ( a name that I gave you that became a household name). You were a remarkable man who was so much more than a brother-in-law to me. You were a trusted confidant, a partner in laughter, a truly dear friend and a beautiful soul who brought a unique light into this world—a light that will stay with us forever. The space you left behind in our lives is vast, but the warmth of who you were will stay with us forever.
Above all, you were an extraordinary, loving father and a devoted husband. Your children and wife were your absolute pride and joy. Everything you did, every sacrifice you made, was to build a beautiful life for them and to guide them with unconditional love. The lessons, the laughter, and the steady protection you gave your family are a legacy that will live on through them forever.
You’re a true example of what true selflessness looked like. You always put others first. You were a person who would sacrifice your own comfort, time, and energy just to make sure someone else was okay. You give quietly, expected nothing in return, and constantly looked for ways to lift the burdens of those around you.
When you joined our family, you didn’t just marry into it; you embraced us all with an open heart. As a brother-in-law, you were steady, reliable, and always there when we needed a hand or a word of advice. Family gatherings won't be the same without your presence, voice, and the easy way you made everyone feel welcome and cared for.
Beyond family ties, you and I shared a real friendship. We talked about football, politics and everything in between. You knew how to listen, to make me laugh, and always showed up. You don’t judge; you just understood. What I will miss most is your gentle kindness, quiet strength and a deep devotion to the people you loved. You showed us how to be better by simply being yourself, and having you in my corner was a gift I will always cherish.
At the center of your life was your deep faith. You were a true lover of God and found your greatest joy in serving Him and serving others. Your faith wasn't just something you spoke about; it was how you lived. You walked through life with a servant’s heart, demonstrating grace, humility, and kindness to everyone you met.
Thank you, my gallant and able officer, for your example of what it means to love deeply, give selflessly, walk faithfully, years of brotherhood, friendship and memories. You are gone from our sight, but you will never leave our hearts. Rest in the peace of the Lord you loved so much, my dear brother and friend. I love you but God loves you most. 🫶💙🙏
